Hope Still Lives

I’ve had allot going on in my life lately. I’ve had significant injuries, illness, and family heartbreak. While we have been quietly preparing for spring my mind has been silently contemplating all the experiences of the past five months while my heart has staved off an inkling of coming doom and an upturned world. Little did I know that my personal struggles might be an offering to other during a global upheaval.

In my lifetime I have seen War, Hunger, Violence, and Apathy. I have also walked in Peace, laughed in Love, wept with Joy, and danced in Gratitude. Why?

Hope Still Lives.

Our individual nations and the global community are facing an crisis we have not seen for one hundred years. But this time that crisis is compounded by a vast population that is concentrated and does not have the knowledge nor the means to grow food, use herbal traditions, hunt, or live on wild foods.

But Hope Still Lives

Our economic model is crippled. Many people in my nation are facing poverty and homelessness if our government does not step in. I’ve watched my tiny IRA fall into shambles. People are loosing wealth. Businesses are shutting down without any idea of when they will reopen or if they will have the financial means to reopen. Servers, hourly employees, and those who already live at poverty level are beginning to face life without the means to buy food.

However, Hope Still Lives.

The utter self centered motivation of some people has been revealed. Predators walk among us selling toilet paper and hand sanitizer for high prices. Arrogance is on display as many people believe they will only be mildly affected by this illness without realizing the deeper illness within their heart.

And Yet, Hope Still Lives.

We have a choice to make in the midst of Chaos. We can either allow ourselves to be consumed by the Chaos or we can walk through the Chaos. In each of us, even in the dark days, lives Peace, Love, Joy, Kindness, Compassion, and the Inner Light. Where we place our attention is where we walk. We do not serve our minds. Our minds serve our Divine being. When we make the choice to walk through the Chaos instead of allowing ourselves to be consumed by it we experience a good life no matter the circumstances or personal suffering.

Because Hope Still Lives.

Be Well and at Peace,
