I am so pleased with how this Himalayan Salt Soap came out. Not only does this have Himalayan Salt, I added Kaolin Clay to this bar to give it that extra slip across the skin.
There are no commercial fragrances in this soap. Our Natural Luxury Soaps are made with herbal infused oils. For the Cedar and Rose Hip Oil I infused into Rice Brand Oil using traditional solar methods. This soap has no real scent, just a simple clean soap aroma. In traditional folk herbalism cedar is thought to have skin clearing properties while rose hip is thought to have nourishing properties. Salt is thought to help skin conditions.
All of our soaps also feature our farm fresh corn silk. This adds such a wonderful silky slip to our soap. The corn, like everything else on our farm, is grown without using pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers. Our philosophy in farming is to work with nature in peace instead of warring against our greatest asset for life.
I chose coconut oil as the base for our soap to give it a decent hardness. Castor oil and Shea butter keep it from over drying the skin while the Rice Bran Oil is nourishing.
The bars are hand cut and weigh between 4.8 and 5 ounces.
